Introduction to Mandarin Tones
A beginner tone training mode that lets students test tones or switch into learning mode without penalty.
Beginner tone training
Introduction to Tones begins with a play button. The student listens to a Mandarin sound and selects which of the four tones they heard.
The title area can switch between Tone Test and Learning Mode. In Learning Mode, students can tap tones freely, hear them without penalty, and explore the sound differences before returning to testing.
A settings button lets students choose the initials and finals they want included. If an initial such as b is selected, blends that begin with b enter the testing pool. If a final such as a is selected, blends containing that final enter the pool.
