Speech Pathology for Mandarin Pronunciation
High-resolution Mandarin articulation videos showing vocal cord use, plosive sounds, tongue placement, palate position, and sound production.

Pronunciation training with visual articulation
The Speech Pathology section is designed to give Mandarin learners repeated exposure to how sounds are physically produced. It uses high-resolution, copyright-protected vocal tract cross-section videos inspired by Chinese speech pathology materials. Students can see when the vocal cords are used, which sounds are plosive, and where the tongue should be placed in the mouth.
Each sound can be selected and replayed as many times as needed. Below the video, students receive an explanation of how to create the sound. This gives learners a practical way to build pronunciation fundamentals without needing constant one-on-one time with a Mandarin speech pathologist.
